This video brings you the full match between the Barbarians and the All Blacks, regarded by many as the finest match ever televised.
This was the final match of the All Blacks' tour, which had seen them record victories over Wales, Scotland and England; only a drawn game against Ireland had prevented them from achieving a Grand Slam.
The Barbarians' side included some of the truly great players of the era, men such as Duckham, Gibson, J P R Williams, Bennett, Edwards, McBride and Carmichael. The team displayed an admirable commitment to that brand of open, attacking rugby which has come to be associated with Barbarian sides over the years the tone of the whole match being set by Gareth Edwards' try in the third minute, which must rank as one of the best ever.
This, together with some equally exciting play from an All Blacks team with outstanding players such as Going, Batty and Williams, made for a spectacular game in which one thrill followed another.
