Description
This really is a golden oldie!
Cricketing legend Fred Trueman presents Indoor League - an antidote to the multi-million pound, media sensation that modern day sports have become. Join Freddie as he enjoys his pipe and a pint of bitter whilst hosting the high-octane gladiatorial combat that is pub games - darts, bar billiards, skittles, arm wrestling and shove ha'penny are all covered here. Indoor League lasted for 72 shows over four years, during the 1970's, and here's your chance to find out why!
Indoor League was a ratings success in the Yorkshire ITV area (who made the programme in the first place) and was peak time viewing when it was initially transmitted. It has never been released commercially before and will not have been seen by the majority of people in thirty years, but the DVD release of this fondly-remembered series is destined to be a cult classic for armchair sports fans and students alike or, indeed, anyone who gets a kick out of watching pub sports - after all, darts began its television life on Indoor League so it has a lot to answer for!
As Freddie always said when he signed off each show - "Ahl si thee!"
