The all-American boy became the youngest Road World Champion in 1993 at the tender age of 21 and in 1996 was named the hottest young cyclist in the world. Sensationally, at the age of 25 and in the prime of his career, Lance was diagnosed with testicular cancer and was doubly shattered to discover that it had spread to his lungs and lymph nodes. Doctors gave Lance a 40% chance of survival.

He not only beat the odds and survived but returned to the saddle in 1998 and in the following year he became only the second American to win the sports' premier cycling event, the Tour De France.

This documentary sees Lance both at home and in those exciting days immediately after his win in Paris, and also contains interviews from his team-mates, doctors and fellow cancer patients.
