The official highlights of the 2005 Ashes Series.

Some details are still waiting to be confirmed, but this is a triple DVD, covering one of the greatest Ashes series ever. Disc 1 covers the first two Tests, Disc 2 features the 3rd & 4th Tests, and Disc 3 contains the 5th and deciding Test Match, as well as a few extra features.

Some renowned commentators have called this the most exciting, televised, Ashes series ever! And who would argue with that.

The 1st Test at Lords resulted in a comfortable victory for Australia. This led to, the now anticipated, knee-jerk reactions from part of the British Press to criticise everything that the England team had been building over the past few years.

Fortunately there was no panic in the England camp, and the team stormed back in the 2nd Test at Edgbaston to win one of the most exciting Test matches ever, by the too-close-for-comfort margin of 2 runs.

The momentum was now with England, and victory in the 3rd Test at Old Trafford was only scuppered by the weather, with Australia desperarely hanging on to their last wicket to secure the draw.

This might have seen Australia regain the initiative. But no - England outplayed Australia in most sessions at Trent Bridge in the 4th Test, to sneak home by 3 wickets in yet another thriller.

England were now 2-1 up in the series with only the Oval Test to come. They couldn't be beaten in the series, but could they win or draw the 5th Test to regain the Ashes...
